چکیده
Abstract Background Sporotrichosis is a subcutaneous mycosis caused by dimorphic fungus, Sporothrix schenckii infection, that usually results from the traumatic implantation of fungus into skin and tissue. Disseminated cutaneous sporotrichosis rare entity presents in immunosuppressed individual. They are sometimes mimicking malignancy tuberculosis. Here, case disseminated involving larynx nasal cavity an immunocompetent patient reported. Case presentation A 54-year-old healthy lady presented with hoarseness globus sensation over throat prior history multiple lesions face, limbs, trunk. Examination revealed erythematous papular Nasoendoscopy showed sloughy mucosa bilateral cavities, nasopharynx, base tongue, arytenoids, both vocal folds bony hard mass at left frontal recess opening. Overall imaging features were suggestive generalized fungal infections. Multiple biopsies sites infection. She had resolution lesion after being treated intravenous Amphotericin B for month, oral Voriconazole another month then Itraconazole 6 months. Conclusion Diagnosis can be tricky difficult to diagnose as it mimic other diagnoses. Education paramount important identifying illness seen individuals, although more common

Cytomegalovirus Colitis in an Immunocompetent Patient: Report of a Case
Abstract Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a virus that can be consider as invasive infection after transplantation or chemotherapy, long-term corticosteroid users or in immunodeficient patients such as HIV. Different complications were seen in immunocompetent patients but colitis rarely occurs. The diagnosis of CMV was based on pathology by colonoscopy, positive CMV antigen and high CMV-IgM titer serum...
متن کاملPrimary Adenotonsillar Tuberculosis in an Immunocompetent Child -A Case Report
Introduction: Primary tuberculosis (TB) of the oropharynx and nasopharynx is an extremely rare form of extra-pulmonary TB in children. Primary tuberculosis occurs more likely secondary to pulmonary TB and is more common in immunocompromised patients. Case Report: We reported the case of a young male presented with the symptoms of non-specific chronic adenotonsillitis, ...
متن کاملIsolated laryngeal leishmaniasis in an immunocompetent patient: a case report.
Visceral leishmaniasis, a protozoan disease caused by Leishmania infantum, is endemic in the Mediterranean basin, especially southern and Tyrrhenian Italy. Its aetiological agent can also sporadically cause isolated laryngeal localization in at-risk patients (i.e., heavy smokers, immunocompromised patients). This rare localization is often pauci-symptomatic and thus can easily escape diagnosis....
متن کاملSubcutaneous phaeohyphomycosis in an immunocompetent Individual: A case report
Phaeohyphomycosis is a rare mycotic infection caused by various heterogenous groups of phaeoid (dematiaceous) fungi involving the skin and subcutaneous tissue. Common clinical manifestations are subcutaneous abscesses or cystic swellings. Here, we report a case of subcutaneous phaeohyphomycosis presenting as multiple asymptomatic cystic swellings over the hands and feet without any predisposing...
متن کاملCandida glabrata Sepsis in an Immunocompetent Individual: A Case Report
Candidaemia accounts for a significant proportion of systemic fungal infections, with Candida glabrata (C. glabrata) becoming prominent in recent decades. We describe a unique case where postoperative urinary retention and C. glabrata UTI led to invasive fungaemia with bladder necrosis. A 37-year-old previously well nulliparous woman underwent an elective diagnostic laparoscopy, hysteroscopy di...
